In 1989 we hired it refinished. For 19 years it was the home of all baths for 3 children. Some of the paint chpped over the years so in 2007 we had it finished again. We were able to use it the next day. The gear that the refinisher guy wore was suitable for a nuclear reactor or a space walk. Anyway, we didn't smell a thing and he didn't make the slighted mess.
